The Aylmer District Horticultural Society (ADHS) is a volunteer organization established in 2005 and growing ever since.. One hudred active members active members continue to encourage interest and improvement in horticulture.. We host monthly meetings, respecting the theory and practice of horticulture, encourage the planting of trees, shrubs and flowers in both private and public gardens, arrange field trips, promote the protection of the environment and distribute horticultural information in the form of our quarterly newsletter.. Membership benefits include discounts at area garden centres, trips to community and private gardens and garden shows, planned social events, newsletters, expert  ...   of Aylmer in 2012 and we are looking to continue with such community gardens in 2013.. Most of our funding for such projects is provided through membership dues, the May plant sale and various fundraising events throughout the year, but we are also looking for successful grant applications to offset the costs associated with the community gardens..
