Descriptive info: Magrabi.. Net.. > الصفحة الرئيسية, بيانات, ----------------برنامج تنمية الديمقراطية, ***مرصد حالة الديمقراطية***, بيانات >.. The popular Committee for participating in the Constitution launches the campaign: "Contribute to writing-up your Constitution".. 28-07-2013, 13:25.. Author:.. nabil.. The popular Committee for participating in the Constitution launches the campaign:.. "Contribute to writing-up your Constitution".. The popular committee for participating in the Constitution announced that they will launch a campaign under the name: Contribute to writing-up your Constitution".. This campaign will cover all the governorates of Egypt and its main target is enabling the Egyptian people with all its diverse categories (without excluding any party or group) to contribute to the writing-up of the Constitution of post-revolutionary Egypt, which is based on the notions of citizenship, respect for human rights, and equality between all Egyptians in rights and freedoms.. Dr.. Magdy Abdel Hamid, the Chairperson of the Egyptian Association for Community Participation Enhancement (EACPE) stated that a democratic constitution derives its legitimacy from the level of compatibility among the active political parties, as well as through involving citizens and relevant entities in tackling the most controversial issues.. Hence, the main objective is not to reach an "ideal" constitution, but a constitution that the whole of society approves  ...   to accommodate the various needs of the diverse political, cultural, economic, religious, and racial groups in Egypt.. The outcome should be a legal crystallization of these issues in the form of a draft constitution, which meets the minimum standards of all classes and categories in Egypt.. This draft will be presented to the public (across the Egyptian governorates) in the form of a petition to support and approve.. Magdy mentioned that EACPE will prepare a ".. participation form.. " for stating which constitutional articles are the most accepted widely and which are the most controversial, and these forms will be printed and distributed across Egypt.. It is worth mentioning that EACPE will conduct the first meeting for the campaign on Tuesday 30th of July, 2013 at EACPE's HQ, at 12:00 PM.. The meeting aims at discussing the goals of the campaign and its working mechanisms and future prospects.. The meeting will also tackle coordination plans between the campaign and relevant entities in charge of writing-up a democratic and civil constitution for post-revolutionary Egypt.. The meeting will include human rights activists, representatives of political parties, and other relevant stakeholders.. Descriptive info: 36 Human-Rights associations urge the immediate investigation of the Presidential Guards area incidents through a judicial/rights-based committee.. 18-07-2013, 14:28.. A number of human rights associations have expressed their condemnation of the tragic violence that occurred within the Presidential Guards House area in the wee hours of the morning of July 8.. th.. , 2013, which resulted in that 54 people were killed, and hundreds were injured, and condemns also any attempt to assault military bases or facilities, or armed forces or police personnel.. On that morning, violent clashes took place in front of the Presidential Guards House area, in the intersection between Salah Salem and Tayaran Streets, Nasr City, Cairo.. The clashes resulted in the killing of 54 people and the injury of over 500 more.. In this context, the signatory human rights associations share their legitimate fears that this incident will mark the escalation of acts of violence in the coming few days, especially that some Muslim Brotherhood leaders still urge their young cadres and members to commit acts of vandalism in the country, in support of their point of view with regards to the former President Mohamed Morsy, who was ousted by the June 30.. popular uprising.. Descriptive info: Egyptian Association for Community Participation Enhancement congratulates the Egyptian Society on its Victorious Revolution The people have spoken, and the military supports popular legitimacy.. 15-07-2013, 01:37.. Egyptian Association for Community Participation Enhancement congratulates the Egyptian Society on its Victorious Revolution.. The people have spoken, and the military supports popular legitimacy.. The Egyptian Association for Community Participation Enhancement (EACPE) congratulates the Egyptian people on the success of its glorious revolution (June 30th, 2013), and enforcing their will and legitimacy through ousting Mr.. Mohamed Morsy from power with the support of the Egyptian Armed Forces, as well as the Police.. In this context, EACPE would like to emphasize the following:.. First.. :.. EACPE would like to salute the Egyptian youth, male and female, and the members of.. Tamarrod.. (aka Rebel) Movement, as the real creators and triggering forces behind the second wave of the January 25th Revolution.. EACPE also would like to ask them to stand strong against any attempts for their exclusion from the political scene in the coming decisive period, towards rebuilding the democratic process of post-revolutionary Egypt.. Second.. :.. EACPE would like to also salute all the Egyptian people (men, women, kids and elderly; Muslims and Christians) for their optimum role in standing against religious fascism that aimed at taking Egypt down the hill of backwardness, using the worst examples of ignorance, backwardness and oppression from the history of the Islamic nation.. Third.. EACPE would like to salute the Egyptian Armed Forces for their attitude supporting popular legitimacy, while dusting their hands off any attempts to assume political power in the country, as their stance stemmed from their responsibility towards preserving the independence of the Egyptian nation.. EACPE also supports the role of the Armed Forces for the peaceful methods of passing on power in a manner that fulfills the ambitions and hopes of the Egyptian people.. In this context, we would like to call upon them to overview the roadmap of the future of the nation, with the  ...   are considered a public popular uprising that were achieved through the efforts and participation of the Egyptian people, who all were unified in their desire to oust the president then "Mohamed Morsy", and that it is not a Military Coup.. We would like to assert that the Military has become a player in the front rows through the demands of the people, in order to avoid violence and bloodshed, and to protect the revolution and revolutionaries, without any political gains at sight.. All the youth powers and Tamarrod Movement, along with the democratic and patriotic powers and parties, should work hand in hand in the coming period to achieve the four main goals of the January 25th Revolution, which are still far from being achieved, namely: Bread, Freedom, Human Dignity and Social Justice.. This work has to put at hand the martyrs who lost their lives for the Revolution to continue.. Everyone has to be cooperative for the future to be rewritten.. The transitional phase should not exceed 1 year at most, during which a democratic constitution needs to be rewritten with the consent of all stakeholders, followed by Presidential Elections, then Parliamentarian Elections, all under complete supervision by the judiciary and the observation of local and international civil society organizations.. This cannot happen without a national compromise.. In addition, those involved in any financial, criminal or political crimes against the Egyptian people and the revolution are held accountable, starting January 25th 2011 until the present moment.. Muslim Brotherhood, we view, should be excluded politically in the future and their organizations should be dismantled, and no parties should be established again based on a religious foundation.. At the end, EACPE affirms that all stakeholders involved: (youth, the military, the police, political powers and parties, patriotic movements, civil society organizations, women, judges, etc.. ) should work together so that post revolutionary Egypt raises the slogans of democracy, human rights, freedom and rule of law, against all forms of tyranny and oppression..

EACPE also calls upon the Egyptian people to occupy the streets and continue their legitimate struggle against the regime who lost its legitimacy.. In this context, EACPE stresses on the fact that president Mursi who disregarded the voices of millions of Egyptians who demanded him to step down, as well as challenging the Armed Forces, which demanded him to respond to the people's demand in the 48 hours time limit provided by the Armed Forces, is not willing to step down.. • Title: DataLife Engine > Printable version> 25 Civil Society Organizations Send Four Messages to Ensure Peaceful Protests on June 30th
Descriptive info: 25 Civil Society Organizations Send Four Messages to Ensure Peaceful Protests on June 30th.. 27-06-2013, 18:50.. Towards Protecting Rights and Freedoms and Establishing a Democratic Egypt:.. 25 Civil Society Organizations Send Four Messages to Ensure.. Peaceful Protests on June 30th.. Huge protests are anticipated on the coming June 30th that could amount to a few millions of Egyptian citizens, from both sexes.. The Campaign of Tamarrod "Rebellion", along with a number of Egyptian political parties and forces called for certain demands for that day, mainly, so far, withdrawing confidence from the current president Mohamed Morsy, and conducting early Presidential Elections after he steps down from his post.. These protests come as an assertion to the freedom of opinion and of peaceful assembly for all Egyptians, which is guaranteed by the Constitution and Universal Human Rights Documents, and as a reiteration to the fact that freedoms and respect for human rights are the main characteristics of Post-Revolutionary Egypt.. On the other hand, these protests come as a reaction to the failure of President Morsy to fulfill any of the goals of the January 25 Revolution, and to his disregard to the demands of the civil opposition and the revolutionary forces in the country.. These demands included removing the incompetent cabinet of Mr.. Hesham Qandeel, forming an non-partisan government to ensure free and integrate parliamentarian elections, respecting the freedom and independence of the judiciary, enforcing the verdict of the Administrative Court to disbanding the Muslim Brotherhood, annulling the illegitimate constitution and the subsequent constitutional declarations and their effects (on top of which the dismissal the Prosecutor-General), dissolution of the Shoura Council (Senate House), revoking all the laws it issued since the beginning of its first session, enforcing a transitional justice law and a fair elections law, as well as ceasing all the violations committed by the current regime against Egyptian citizens and especially revolutionary figures.. The signatory human rights figures show their solidarity and absolute support to the legitimate demands of the protesters, and hope that the protesters of June 30th remain peaceful, to ensure that no bloodshed occurs and in defense of the rights and freedoms of protesters, within the framework of the rule of law.. Hence, the below-listed signatory organizations call upon all concerned stakeholders at this very critical moment of the history of Egypt, namely the Ministry of Interior, the Military and President  ...   Abide by the pledges the Armed Forces made after the revolution to refrain from internal affairs and from the desire to seize power, and to remain unbiased towards any certain political faction, and to leave the people to decide with their own free will on June 30th.. The Military should intervene in the coming June 30th.. only.. in case of the outbreak of violence on the street and the occurrence of bloodshed and if those representing Islamic forces resort to violence through their organized militias against those protesting against President Morsy.. Once the conflict passes, the Military should pass on leadership of the country to a civil entity.. Third: President Morsy:.. The signatory organizations call upon President Morsy to:.. Respond immediately to the voice of the Egyptian people through the demands of the protesters to give up his post as a president and call for early presidential elections, whether because millions went down on the streets on June 30th or because bloodshed occurred and violence broke out.. Disregard the opinion of his supporters and "clan", and other proponents of Political Islam, who advice the President to clutch onto power, despite his failure in governing the country's affairs.. This stance will eventually lead us to a dramatic scene and we all will pay a dear price for it.. Fourth: Protesters:.. Signatory human rights organizations call upon all revolutionary, civil and opposition parties participating in the protests, whether in the capital or other governorates of Egypt, to:.. Maintain the peacefulness of the protests and not to resort to violence, in order to avoid bloodshed, so that the popular, democratic and peaceful mobilization manage to achieve its.. goals, and to present to the world the revolutionary Egypt of the future.. The Egyptian Institution for the Support of Civil Society and Human Rights.. The Egyptian Center for Economic and Social Rights.. The Arab Bureau for Law..
