The Virginia Association of the Gifted is a state affiliate of The National Association for the Gifted (NAGC).. The Virginia Association for the Gifted will award one outstanding Virginia student the Virginia Association for the Gifted (VAG) Outstanding Student Award, which will be acknowledged by the NAGC.. Virginia Association for the Gifted (VAG) Outstanding Student Award.. funded by VAG membership donations Fund and is designed to recognize excellence in young children.. The award, which includes a certificate and a $500 U.. S.. Savings Bond, is given each school year.. Award recipients are students in grades 3 through 6, who have achieved excellence in one of the following areas of endeavor: leadership, visual/performing arts, or academic achievement..
